Gov. Rick Perry sent a video message last week to the RightOnline Conference, a gathering in Minneapolis of political conservatives who push for greater use of digital technology to increase citizen participation in government.
In the video, Perry sings the praises of Texas and its "conservative leadership principles."
He takes a swipe or two at Washington politicians (even as he's taking steps to become one).
And he invites folks "to follow me on Tweeter"
(An invitation that still doesn't apply to some Texas journalists.)
