The Senator Who Owned Christmas

So. By as late as Election Eve, he was dead, failed, forgotten. He was sure to be Daschled, his and the President's agenda utterly refudiated by the angry American mob. Today, the media narrative of Harry Reid is that he has quietly presided over the most productive Congress since the Great Society – maybe the most productive Congress ever. None other than Lindsey Graham of South Carolina said that "Harry Reid has eaten our lunch." The number of important pieces of legislation he has muscled past a ridiculous (and record) 111 filibusters is staggering.
