Rick Perry stopped by The Daily Show with Jon Stewart last night to promote his new book, "Fed Up!"

Yes, Jon Stewart, the comedian/political commentator who often skewers politicians just like Perry.

The more than seven minute interview featured some serious discussion about the Constitution, the Supreme Court, states' rights and the federal government. It also had plenty of laugh lines about secession, the postal service and Perry "taking" Stewart's desk (watch the video above).

And then there was this hilarious exchange:

Stewart: "So you believe the Constitution is that which the federal government can do that you agree with? In some respects? Just a little?"

Perry (grinning): "A little."

Also, Perry tweeted after the taping that Stewart was "one smart and engaging dude!"
