In his column at USA Today, Jonah Goldberg has a prediction:
The coming GOP congressional surge will inevitably lead to a lot of disarray on the right. There will be infighting, bickering and charges of betrayal aplenty. The tea-infused populists will bark and sometimes bite the so-called elitists. Many in the Republican establishment will, in turn, show no small amount of ingratitude to the populists who breathed new life into it.
I think this is correct to a point. Within Congress itself, I don't foresee a lot of infighting, at least not the kind that makes its way out of the back rooms and onto the front pages. Instead, I think what we're going to see is a unification of the Republican House behind its likely new leader, John Boehner, which in effect means we are going to see most of the new Tea Party politicians going along to get along.
