More evidence of Rick Perry raising his national profile. The Texas governor will keynote a Kentucky Republican fundraising dinner in April. Perry will be acting in the role of chairman of the Republican Governors Association. Analysts say the attention by the RGA suggests the GOP thinks Kentucky's gubernatorial race is important. Perry will address the Lincoln Day Dinner in Louisville on April 9 in Louisville. Republicans would like to unseat incumbent Democratic Gov. Steve Beshear. Perry's anti-Washington message is a popular theme on the GOP speaking circuit these days where the Texas governor has emerged as a major anti-Obama voice on the right.
