Gov. Rick Perry appointed Dallas business man Wallace Hall and one other to the University of Texas Board of Regents today.
Hall and Austin engineer Alex Cranberg will join the board that oversees the UT System with six-year terms.
Cranberg replaced former board member Janiece Longoria and Hall replaced Colleen McHugh. Perry reappointed Dallas business woman Brenda Pejovich to the board.
University of Texas alum Hall is founder and president of Wetland Partners LP and contributed a little over $14,000 to Perry's 2010 re-election campaign.
During 2010, he also made donations to many of the freshman Republican House members that unseated Democratic incumbents, such as Kenneth Sheets, Cindy Burkett, Bill Zedler, George Lavender, Jim Landtroop, Bill Zedler, Erwin Cain and Jason Isaac.
Cranberg did not donate last year and Pejovich gave Perry's 2010 campaign $32,500.
The appointees await approval from the Texas Senate.
